Two talented girls from Burhanpur, Sakshi Mahajan and Japnam Kaur Chima, have brought glory to their city by winning gold medals at the state-level handball championship held in Gwalior. Representing the Indore division team in the under-17 girls’ category, they played a crucial role in securing the championship title.

The event, which took place from November 18th to 21st, 2022, witnessed fierce competition among various divisions across the state. However, the Indore team, with Sakshi and Japnam’s exceptional performance, emerged victorious.
Their achievement has been widely celebrated, with their school, Triumph Academy, expressing immense pride. The school’s chairman, Kamlesh Patel, congratulated the girls and encouraged all students to pursue their interests in sports.
The girls’ success has also been acknowledged by district sports officer Gopal Chaudhary, along with other school officials and staff.
